A tale of Karavali belt fishermen is the concept of debutant director Shivaraj in ‘Udumba’ Kannada cinema that went on the floor on Thursday morning. Hanumantha Rao a realtor in Andhra Pradesh is the producer of this film. He is investing Rs.1.5 to 2 crores on this project.

Working as assistant director in Kannada and Telugu Shivaraj has made a subject on the life of fishermen and tucked it with love story. He is shooting in Mangaluru, Malpe, Horanadu, Shimogga in two schedules.

Mahentesh of one short film and paltry roles in TV serials is playing hero. Shravya is female lead. Vineeth Raj of ‘Muddu Manase’ and ‘Prema Pallakki’ is music composer.

Cameraman Halesh has worked in some of the big films in Kannada as assistant cameraman. Different Danny is stunt director, Shankar and Murali are choreographers.

Raghuraj, Rockline Sudhakar, Chandrakala Mohan, Bhavya, Vijaya, Vatara Mallesh are in the cast of ‘Udumba’.
